Tin someone school me on the big differences between a classic, a traditional and a standard? :huh

Standard is where they make the 'top of the line' changes twelvemonth over year... asymetrical necks, different weight reliefs, etc... information technology's the state of the art Les Paul. (further broken down into T and HP models).
The Traditional is what the Standard of old was... more than 'vintage' appoinments. Usually a thicker neck and no weight relief... somewhat of a 50'southward model idea.
The Classic tend to take slimmer necks and 9 hole weight relief... and then a combo of threescore-70'due south and lxxx-ninety'due south Standard appointments.

I gauge to easy it... Traditional is a 50'southward spec, Classic covers the 60's-90's and the Standard changes year over year.

What store is CME? I like a fatter neck, then these are all slim taper. I think perhaps the Traditional is the but one with the 50's neck... or CS.
CME = Chicago Music Substitution / Reverbs parent company.

Traditional is most probable to have the 50'southward neck... simply Gibson has inverse the necks enough over the years that a 50's neck isn't all that far different from a 60's neck these days. There is a departure, but nothing like the departure between those neck profiles 10 or twenty years agone.

'17 Black Cerise Burst Studio T, $999.97 looks nice, even without a Floyd ;)

What about these '17 Fusion SG? $599?! Anyone take a fusion model?

Blueberry burst looks like my Ric 370's blueburst IMO.

Information technology'due south a skilful deal. The standard T's are $2k. That's the one that'southward getting to me. I just really want the blueberry burst.

Maple necks and selection-baby-sit remind me of the SG-i and such of the 70's.

I'm highly tempted as I love the look of the goldtop just my xanthous LP Studio Satin I bought in mint status for $500 sounds and feels great.

I am in the same boat. I bought a 2017 Tribute (my avatar pic) and I am getting all I demand from that guitar. If I pulled the trigger on a Classic I feel like I would simply exist doing it simply because it was on sale for a smashing price, not necessarily because I NEED some other Les Paul. Of grade is it possible to take too many Les Paul's? I have $i,500 burning a hole in my pocket merely I have a bigger need for a practiced amp every bit opposed to another guitar. I think a new Friedman Muddied Shirley Mini or Suhr Badger 18 would exist a wiser purchase at this point.

Maple necks and pick-guard remind me of the SG-ane and such of the lxx's.

USA made Gibson SG for $599...price sounds besides adept to be truthful, what's wrong with these Fusion models? Maple neck, rosewood lath, mahogany body, nitro cease, non sure what double slug pickups are, set cervix, ... what about the bridge?

the blackness scarlet flare-up studio and Fusion SG are the get-go 2 Gibsons I've liked in many years...with smashing prices...I'thou suspicious ;)

USA fabricated Gibson SG for $599...price sounds too good to be true, what'due south wrong with these Fusion models? Maple neck, rosewood board, mahogany body... the black ruby-red burst studio and Fusion SG are the commencement two Gibsons I've liked in many years...I'm suspicious ;)

Read reviews of the other "South" models, the Fusion is in that line. I don't know if the cervix angle is improve on the Fusion to piece of work with the span design or not, but I've seen multiple reviews that the bridge decked still leaves the strings high off the neck due to rocking in the bridge on it'south posts.

The couple of Southward models I've messed with at local shops have had actions you could drive a late 70'south Cadillac under with ease.:( I'd make sure yous take a good return policy in case of a dud that can't be setup properly.

I volition say though that Black Cherry Burst certainly is fetching on that Studio.:)

I'thousand a Les Paul guy I judge, late to the political party.

This is a good cost. Simply I have my eye on other models, the 2018 Studio (Smokehouse Burst) or downward the road, a nice ES Les Paul.

No the classics were 2k all year untill they dropped to 1800$ last month to move the rest of the inventory..
This is a insane deal if yous bought a Classic in July.
Ouch. That's substantially more than what they were selling for in Canada. They sold hither for $2k CAD which is close to well-nigh $1500 US.

$one,400 bucks? Dude that's the typical Gibson grab your ankles price, So possibly they used a flake of lube this time, Merely its still over priced like all guitars with a Gibson logo. For $1,400 I can think of a lot amend guitars.
